This is the first Micropub in Crayford and second in the borough of Bexley.  It is run by Bob & Bev who, some 30yrs ago, both managed another pub in Crayford, Bob has since been  a driving instructer. Bob will be  ruuning the Penny Farthing and Bev will hopefully join full time in the future. There is a selection of real ales, ciders and wines on offer. The ales are poured  directly fom the cask and can be seen via a viewing window into the cold room.

The Penny Farthing is a real find and has just recently celebrated its first birthday. As you would expect the quality of the beers is excellent and Bob and Bev the owners are fantastic hosts. They are always front of house and make everyone feel welcome when they arrive. They also know and understand the beers and are happy to discuss them.

The Penny Farthing also now does food with an excellent selection of quality hand raised pies which are delicious and go down well with a pint or two.

Well done Bob and Bev one of the best micro pubs I have been in.

I’m a big fan of Micropubs and have visited many. When I found out that one was opening up I wad over the moon. The Penny Farthing doesn’t disappoint. The Beer is top quality and the service is second to none always a friendly service. The Penny Farthing is a fantastic asset to Crayford.
